HUNTINGTON, NY, May 28, 2013, Kasia Wittie, President of KASIART, Ltd., has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in art and jewelry design.

As the president of KASIART, Ltd., Ms. Wittie specializes in the design of handmade jewelry using semiprecious stones combined with sterling silver and pearls. She customizes each piece to the color preference and style of each client. KASIART is an online business that provides a range of her jewelry, including necklaces, earrings and bridal wear. She also sells her other artwork, which includes graphic design, visual arts, illustrations, and book covers. She also paints portraits, still lifes, and landscapes.

Ms. Wittie has three decades of professional experience. Her paintings have been featured in 15 solo exhibitions: nine in Europe and six in New York. She has also participated in 63 group art shows. Ms. Wittie worked for 10 years in Warsaw, Poland as art an director for the national magazines ‘Perspektywy’ and ‘Pan’. She was responsible for all visual advertising of Toyota Motor Poland in 1993 to 1994, and as a free-lance designer, she created 66 book covers. She was commissioned three times to paint the Man-of-the-Year for the ‘Perspektywy’ cover, the main political magazine in Poland; the first was in 1988 for world record Himalayan climber, Jerzy Kukuczka, the second was in 1989 for the first non-communist prime minister in Poland, Tadeusz Mazowiecki, and the third was in 1990 for the minister of culture, Bogdan Suchodolski. From 1991 to 1995, Ms. Wittie supervised all of the Polish National Tourist Agency's visual advertising.

Since 1996, Ms. Wittie has resided on Long Island, N.Y. Her painting career has taken off, and over the years she has had six solo shows in New York and on Long Island, showing mainly portraits and landscapes. She has collaborated with many New York art galleries, including B. J. Spoke Gallery in Huntington, Chrysalis Gallery in Southampton, CSH Arts Center & Gallery in Cold Spring Harbor, Gallery North in Setauket, Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in Manhattan, and Nassau County Museum of Fine Arts in Roslyn.

Ms. Wittie completed a fellowship with Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in 1983. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in painting, graphic design and illustration from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, from which she graduated summa cum laude in 1981. Ms. Wittie is a member of the NY Society of Portrait Artists, Portrait Society of America, and the American Society of Portrait Artists. Looking toward the future, Ms. Wittie hopes to obtain a partnership with someone who will be able handle the sales aspect of her company.
